Rooted is the Parent-Youth ministry of Greentree Church. Our greatest desire is to raise a generation of passionate followers of Christ the King! Through the power of the gospel we hope to see our teens saved and transformed into men and women who worship God. We believe that God has given parents the primary responsibility for the discipleship of their children, and the church is called to help equip parents for this ministry. Rooted seeks to partner with parents to train their teens in this God-given task. The focus of our ministry is to root the next generation in the Word of God, in the life of the local church, and in Christ – all for His glory! We do this by providing biblical teaching and the context in which to build meaningful peer relationships that seek to make the gospel central in their lives.
The BRUNCH
Meets the 2nd Sunday of each month at 11:45am in the Family Life Center Gym (immediately following the church-wide gathering).
The BRUNCH provides a context for parents, youth, and leaders to gather together for a time of food, fun, and encouragement. The Bible clearly teaches that parents are God’s primary means of discipling the next generation, and the church is called to help equip parents for this ministry. Therefore, during the BRUNCH, we take time to specifically encourage and equip parents. We see the importance for youth to engage in meaningful peer relationships, so there is time for teens to be together in fun activities and social interaction. All this must be met with God’s presence and his gracious work; therefore, we spend time in prayer. There will be plenty of food, so come hungry!
Each summer, in August, we host a Youth Camp on the church property. We partner with other Sovereign Grace Church for four days of camping, games, worship, lessons and great food. The picture at the top of this page is from our 2023 Youth Camp trip to the Ocean City Water Park. We hope your teen can join us for Youth Camp 2024!
